What Women Are

To carry life
to feel birth’s pain,
while men stand
so completely vain.

I try imagining
my place, my worth.
While women cry
bringing life in birth.

When I feel
less like a man,
tender compassion
gives strength’s hand.

So I see now
the best part of me,
moments shared
in a woman’s beauty.

Give a woman
a smile and see
a reflection of
what you can be.

Is a man great?
Measured in her eyes?
There’s no fooling
or mask that can disguise.

Give her resources,
you won’t be alone.
Give her a space she’ll
turn it into a home.

Women truly are
more than just hearts.
They light fires
bringing life to dead parts.

    • Thank you. I believe women are far superior to men.

      • I differ. The race for superiority has always lead to damage. When men wanted superiority. It lead to patriarchy that suppressed women. When women replied with feminism, it damaged the family structure. God created men and women different with distinct roles to play. Both are absolutely interdependent on each other and ignoring any one leads to a dysfunctional society. The prime role of a woman is raising a responsible generation. Mother forms the foundation of the family. She does the groundwork. Wherein men are the maintainers and protectors. Which frames the social connectivity

        • I realize the magnitude of different societal structures in different cultures and I respect them. I think life can be beautiful when two people, man and woman, work together as partners in different roles. But I respect a woman’s role and think it is far more admirable. Thank you for your perspective on this. I really appreciate it and think it’s so important for the conversation about what role men should understand about being a part of a whole.
