So insecure,
so much talk.
Filling rooms;
halls we walk.
Spewing forth
gossip’s sadly natural.
Yet assertions
can be far from factual.
Do we really need
another’s ear to hear?
Or wish to take sides
with gossip as a spear?
From the mouth
comes so much harm.
Words can lift
but also cause alarm.
Gossiping words
about things not seen,
in all actuality
are not as they seem.
Cowards hide in
the dark and project
all attention from
their own defects.
Would it be
fair to simply say that
a prideful pose
is how gossipers project?
How vain the
whisperers can truly be.
They draw on spite,
saying don’t look at me.
Ah gossip. Words that aim to maim!! Its so beautifully expressed.. Thanks for sharing

Thank you. Trust me, it’s appropriate for a predicament I find myself currently pondering. 😉
