What Has Been Felt Before

Too soon I feel

how often it’s real,

wounds so deep

how near they’ll heal.

Wrought with ache,

oh, for my own sake

while sleeping I

will heal before wake.

Conquer the slaughter

that the world will offer.

It is a remedy it is

that the remedy is not her.

For people will

always be subject to fall.

To error in their ways

as so often do we all.

Sufficient is struggle

to make me feel alive.

Asps will always slither

in low places they do lie.

What am I but

what within I find?

So often I forget

to leave the past behind.

The pain so real

tis a memory for

me to remember

they’re other doors.

Dark are roads

before that would explode.

Searching I’ve found

that I find myself not alone.
