Bring out paper
bring out pen too.
Open your mind,
see clear through.
Through the room
you currently occupy.
Do not hesitate now,
draw up not a lie.
I want to see
your mind function.
Leave me clues
leave no assumptions.
It is a breath
with not the air.
I want to see
your mind there.
Show me your
resoundingly loud pulse.
My request awaits
your resounding impulse.
For eyes can lie
they do so easily.
Write me back to
when we used to be.
Call me with
your wit and prose.
From where ashes
your heart has arose.
Write me sharp
write me so eloquently.
Display your fancy;
how your wit breathes.
For what are we
if not for our words?
If we expell demons
would it be so absurd?
Open your mind.
The doors in your room.
Do not I deserve
to not pretend to assume?
Excellent piece. This got me:
‘Open your mind.
The doors in your room.
Do not I deserve
to not pretend to assume?’
