A Sight I’ve Never Seen

My fierce love,

you radiate strength.

My fierce love,

this day I do think.

That if I were

not to see you again

I would die,

my rot would begin.

You throw blades

with your eyes a glow.

Making the world

seem to move so slow.

Life is fast and

demands a tough skin

so you take hold

shattering pain within.

For today is yours,

speaking you are heard.

For behind your eyes

is a mindful master of words.

Project your will

upon this mundane life.

Your confidence

lays waste to all strife.

Your wit digs deep

and gives forth energy.

Beyond what the sun

could even ever believe.

You eclipse all else

with wisdom beyond years.

Your laughter lays

soft pillows in my ears.

Where I lay to rest

all my worry and sorrow,

the hope of your sight

makes me rise tomorrow.
