What I Need Know

I can imagine that you

can imagine quite a bit.

You engaged in actions that

left passages subtlety lit.

That would guide the naive,

me particularly right in,

from the start to the end

where it seems it begins.

Your guile, wit and charm

serve well and you quip fast.

But what does your logic

leave you to define the past?

Search your virtues dear;

of your state speak it true.

If you twist it and distort it

truly vanity might suit you.

What I want and ask friend

is to know what you need.

If you want your throne now,

I will bring it on bended knee.

All consuming please tell me

before I wipe clean the slate

so that our aquaintance

in my head I do not debate.

What you seemingly projected

tempted the desire in my soul.

If you were playing some game

means you did it for control.

Be genuine with me I ask,

or when I return to dust,

corroded will be my soul;

what I take with me rebuffed.
