As We Decompose

We fight in a fight now

of reason and just cause.

Because we fight this

fight against our flaws.

Everyday is a lonely

lane that I do discover

ends in a dead end that

takes me to another.

Solving the riddle of

my own making it shakes

me to my sore core so

my hand my beloved takes.

I see that I let the past

catch up to me as I move

my mechanical mind as

it ages changes moods.

I have the love I do have

support from those who

know what I’ve combated

and what I came to loose.

I search now for reason

I search now for the cause

that helps me wake in

the reflection of my flaws.

What is it that I see now?

In truth me I decompose.

I reach for the ones whom

see past rancor of lost hope.

I see them they reach with

hands subjected to the time

that wrinkle and decompose

the same as those of mine.

Together we can combat it

becoming motivated kinds.

People reaching each other

so the world we can define.

Under the skin we are the

same construct of raw bone.

Seek now and please discover

that you are not on your own.

There are those who flounder

with no shoulder upon to lean.

Seek we must them in reality

to show them truth in humanity.
