Empty Grails

The Lord he created all

delicate but it now seems

people bring forth fire,

cause strife’s suffering.

We now do dance near

the flames rising high,

moving our mouths so

bitter in burning light.

I confess to the duress;

can you see it done too?

In droves we in our spite

drive daggers through.

Nothing now is sacred

that the world leaves

for children of children

there is not but grief.

Innocent dancers dance

dances beauty creates.

A sight only understood

by the sinless void of hate.

Joyful movements are

translated in many ways.

Here I examine intently

turmoil in dancers’ sway.

We’ve laid waste to soil

while under our own sun.

Innocence grows sparse.

For we salt earth for fun.

We make with our hands,

hearts and our own minds

ways to have the illusion

of control of what is divine.

With our human hands we

do make things incomplete.

Empty are our grails that

lay beneath us at our feet.

What have we bled for;

sacrificed then crucified?

What is it we do reveal

or hide within dark night?

Let us breathe to construct

the broken bough up above.

Let us not dance but give

our life in the name of love.

This brought to mind a song from Black Sabbath with Dio, called “Heaven & Hell.” Beautiffully written, but sad. Sad, but true.

    1. I’ve never heard of that song but I intend on checking it out. The world is cold and dark Kristian. It is indeed sad but unfortunately reality is just that. That’s why people need to connect and practice kindnesses between each other.
