Breaking The Facade

I flipped a switch

causing a reaction.

I burn your facade

for my satisfaction.

Your face is soft

while under is less.

You move past the

things unaddressed.

The links of armor,

you pretend to have,

show a dim shimmer

and break as if glass.

Shards on the floor

my questions broke

your shallow voice

on words you choke.

What is this manner

I can see now beneath

crying for order that

you will not ever keep?

Dancing to tunes

you play in your head.

If to be in my vicinity

then let tunes be shed.

Bear are the motives

for which you pursue.

I see past what’s left

where I do forgive you.

What are we but chaff

that roar from the lips

that defile and poison

in the same breath kiss?

My abilities no trick

I see because I speak

with not a single lie

so I see untruths leak.

Passed the wall that

defends you I compare

what you do in action

to the facade you wear.
