Refusing The Sun

I asked of dawn,

no sunlight today.

I am now here in

my mind I do play.

Illuminating logic

the light did retort

for my own eyes to

transmit to report.

Communicate did

the sun and I debate.

For my mind chaos;

truthes they berate.

I do not now know

what before I knew.

Filters in my eyes

fail me and do skew.

I shall eliminate for

a selfish view delight

in my own making

that is blind to light.

Out goes the candle

so soon within time

that I am left a blur

inside my own mind.

I know nothing now

the sun tells in ways

I refuse allow choose

to see what it displays.

  1. This is great, those first two lines could be a poem in themselves.

This poem is fine at so many levels, thematically, metaphorically…amazing shades of existentialism seeps through your magical words!
“Outgoes the candle so soon within time”
For me this line sums up whole life!
