Pupil Of Fire

I remember her well,

here next to me hurt

like breaking of bone;

in a wound some dirt.

Wash it off I do so I’m

free of macabre tones.

She was a lit fire fierce,

no nonsense condoned.

She taught me how to

grow with some scars.

Left in an anguish she

did but she didn’t mar.

Taught me in ways of

fire which I do desire

now in the world flow

I climb clouds higher.

Learn I did what heart

my fancy it does fancy.

In my youth I learned

what does enchant me.

Every taken avenue it

does end sharply quick.

Left to right dead ends;

smoke within is thick.

So I move forward fast

searching for a flame

living up to past love

bringing a thrill same.

Hurt I can not feel for

it would serve disaster.

Her fearless heart I’ve

seen is what I’m after.
