Places You Place Me

Black is the back

to my portrait it

in the corner sits

away not well lit.

Foregone niceties

that smell sweet

fade into oblivion

eternity I’ll meet.

Forever turn life,

spin intertwined.

Observe my state

as you sip a wine.

Bring unto a light,

do it to sleep well,

place me in places

you want me dwell.

May I impart tone

for places known

me in the corner

it is not my home.

Give me your hate

give me your spite.

Place me in places

to bring you delight.
