Worlds I Create

I’ve been someplace

none have ever been.

I travel there often in

neurons it does begin.

My imagination lives

and breathes escape

from this tired world

new ones I do create.

There I find softness

I fear here I’ve lost;

as the years pass by

consume does frost.

Cold to the core it is,

scarred fingers turn

pages of rage in new

ways I pray to learn.

My world is haunted

so on planes I made

I paint purple dunes,

planets for the sane.

Let me fly as I pacify

my pain deep I see it

with newborn vision

in my universe I’ll sit.

Though no one will I

be there with I’m fine.

I’ve created celestial

bodies so I feel divine.

Wow! That gif is mesmerizing!! I kept watching for at least a minute before scrolling down to your moving & beautifully written poem. You always do find the best gifs though!

    1. Haha. Thank you. Finding the images is fun. The words I dredge my heart for is the therapy. The whole process of putting it all together is very fulfilling.
