The Moon And I

Me and the moon,

we have a history.

It shows me things

in sunlight unseen.

Night it consumes,

it does cool down,

what sun scorched

under feet ground.

The birds a silence,

the trees but forms

of shadows lit glow

the lit moon adorns.

Today I rise in here

then lay my head it

aches a question of

where in life I fit.

I see with my ears I

feel within my eyes

the tortures of life a

calm as days pass by.

One to the next me

I try to be complete.

Days can be long my

soul needs reprieve.

Punish does the day

to it I try to be brave.

In my darkest corner,

unseen my true face.

My darkness is cold,

I breathe deep behold

me now I am scared;

uncertainty controls.

Oh deepening night

black you do conceal

all lies and thrashing

the moon light heals.

Words for tomorrow,

the moon and I strive

to translate a tumult,

and to bid it goodbye.
