Epiphanies Eyes See

My youth passes

every day goes on

a path it I tread I

seek elegant song.

I know of deserts

and fields of grass;

grass comforts feet,

desert’s pain’s vast.

I see before me life

in my old eyes grab

joy it envelops me in

youth I didn’t have.

What pleases eyes

comes to fade to die

a death with not life;

a real love survives.

What to young eyes

are attractive paths

are sensual but deep

love it always lasts.

As the years move in

and I more so within

delve to what I need

honesty in me begins.

Fall away pleasures

they change in time;

where sanity is with

is in a shared mind.

Let us laugh for the

rest of our lives with

whom we need whose

voice brings us bliss.
