From An Eden

Thought I could

do what I should

a garden directed

what we would.

My weeping eye

is stained farewell

to eternity I had

now become hell.

Color is bright a

fold cut like paper;

a written eulogy

speak of you later.

They said my sly

slither came ankle

where I found my

self I was tangled.

Kiss the serpent I

took up a motion

that has taken me

over as if an ocean.

My love for flower

has changed angst

has turned bland in

my mouth I taste.

Routine I did numb

my banished soul.

Hands to the sky I

beg some control.

I’ve made my peace

in the blood passion

I remember in ink

on skin is fashioned.
