As We Were

on

Jump you will not
at joyous tunes sung.
Dull is my fascination
you deemed no fun.

Take what you will,
the pain is building up.
Will every part of me
and my soul be enough?

I felt your reason and
all your logic fly away.
Remain I will here in
my own known ways.

Dark we were we crept
together long ago found
we did laughter in cracks
of a void void of sound.

The darkness I know it
has turned you black.
Now I try supply verse,
bring your reason back.

I see you hold the roses
of my fancy you are God
of the marsh I traverse in
dark see me give me nod.

I’ve emptied my plate
served by life I do hunger.
Not as before now age it
swells envy at all younger.

Take my heart I pound
on the ground I have lit
this ember it burns fire
see now you’re alien to it.
