Built Between Us

All over again the
mask you wear is
a replacement for
a face that is amiss.

Seep deep lungs so
the feelings show
who you are in heat
and in bitter snow.

Expel the whispers
that tickle the spine
that seep deep only
for my rapture find.

Why do you hide a
thought, emotion or
a feeling such as one
you think I’d ignore?

My trident I use to
direct a beam into a
place in need of the
place memory stays.

It is a toy but power
I feel up both arms
reach out to catch it;
your heaven’s charm.

No need for facades
that lead false paths
to the core of you so
alone but me have.

Tell your stories I’ll
smile and absorb all.
So I know where to
be if strength it falls.

Tell of the strife sew
a web and I will know.
I’ve been to hell dead;
I know where not go.

Be not ashamed my
strength is fragile too.
But in a glimpse smile
to me and I’ll be true.

Oh my god!! I found you via SecretThoughts. This is just… amazing. Just so much passion but so guided and under control in the form. All the words are perfect and intricate, like a belt on a loom.
