Post 755

You see, I thought I’d a do a real badass poem tonight to celebrate 755. Inching ever closer to 1000 and finding out which posts were my most liked and then trying to assimilate a book. Yeah, childish dreams some of my folks will say.

I say to crap with all those folks. Ha! What have I got to loose? God forgive me if I have fun and am not depressed. Ha, yeah, let us traverse comforting vibes today for big ol number 755.

Got just the thing. Some Nine Inch Nails everybody. Lyrics included are transcribed by me. Love this song to chill to and partake. I hope you dig it as much as me. I love the direction they took with this entire album.

Only thing I’ve ever done
Ticking time is running out

Closest I’ve ever come
Ticking time is running out

Oh so tired on my own.
Ticking time is running out.

Best days I’ve ever known.
Ticking time is running out.

Yesterday I found out the world was ending.
Yesterday I found out the world was ending.

A little more.
Every day.
Falls apart and
Slips away.

I don’t mind.
I’m okay.
Wish it didn’t
Have to end this way.

These four walls are closing in.
Ticking time is running out.

Of all the things that might have been
Ticking time is running out

Watch young lovers walk by.
Ticking time is running out.

God forgive me if I cry.
Ticking time is running out.

A little more
Every day
Falls apart and
Slips away

I don’t mind
I’m okay
Nothing ever
Stays the same

While we can
Remember when
Always running
Even then

Stay with me
Hold Me Near

And I’m still here.

Cool thing about songs and music is that it heals and really put you in a good mood and Reznor just really in my mind, as old as I am, I’ve not ever seen him so enduring about anything.

“Watch young lovers walking by” what an innocent line for this band. I’m listening to it now and am so overcome with shock.

But the line, “While I’m still here,” is more indicative of the lyrics I’m used to hearing Reznor sing. A reflection on life’s ending. Impulsive breachs into this line of thought are Reznor’s forte.

All over from top to bottom good song. I like the beat and embrace of electronics but collectively the sound is rather mechanic but the added synths and bass really go a long with me. That and he is actually carrying a kick ass melody that is rather haunting.

I don’t know. Just my impressions of the song. Love you guys and hey, the word of the day is, “alcohol.” Go well into the night my friends.
