Buried In The Past

on

Hallucinate the debate
between the past I tell
and the present I live;
for in hell I now dwell.
I’ve a spot where I lay I
ponder what I might do
to the tune of music I
search for what is true.
You became a victim of
my over-thinking I see,
from shade over graves,
your memory is so deep.
While in shadow I love,
while in shadow I must
keep all to myself for I
possess issues of trust.
Faces in my life tainted
hide your vision I weep.
I fail to function my God
he hears me in my sleep.
Is it wrong to remember
a soul I have loved more
than the one I first came
in my youth to adore?
I’ve trouble I have regret
that bestows a havoc on
me I think I am wounded
beyond healing from song.
