From Your Direction

You are wild and free dear
and this I do love in you.
I’ve a pitfall I learned young;
my course I didn’t choose.

I’ve made a decision love
where the control of all
my motives and intentions
I’ll let to the ground fall.

From my fingertips I cut
a string tied to the end;
so my touch it can begin
the clashes try to mend.

My own faults unsteady my
feet I can’t plant them firm.
How you are so confident in
a direction teach so I’ll learn.

A direction you go flows to
unfetter and tenderly grow.
Plant your passion near me;
precepts so your way I know.
